A sumptuously stunning creation, designed from the original Christian Dior maison. Also a highly rare example to reach the open market. The distinctly feminine styling, is undoubtedly that of Dior's- which silently speaks so many words of beauty, grace, and sophistication.
There couldn't be a finer example to represent the "LBD." Many of a woman's most important assets of beauty, would be showcased and highlighted whilst wearing this marvel. The delicacy and allure of the neckline met by the shoulders, would be evocatively wraped in the evocative shawl treatment of the bodice, further accenting the woman's face which would sit proudly above the rest. And her intriguingly slim and shaped waistline, made further noticeable by the fullness of the skirt which it meets- dramatizing it's already small size.
Surface decoration was kept to a minimum, without frills nor adornmets- the silhouette and wearer herself would steal all eyes' attention. Decorated only with silk covered buttons which have been applied to accent the implied wrap-fronted styling of the bodice. The skirt's fullness is achieved through wide and spaced pleats, and with multiple layers of internal stiffened tulle & horsehair petticoats.
As one would expect from Dior, the interior is an array of magnificent couture workmanship. Having a heavily boned and shaped internal corset, with beautiful silk linings.
